One of my Mother's tried and true recipes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups SR flour
- 2 tab cocoa
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Preheat your oven to a moderate heat
- grease and flour a larger or two small cake pans
- cream butter and sugar then whisk in the eggs and milk
- fold in the flour and vanilla
- pour into your prepared cake pan and bake until done when tested
- ice and decorate to serve.
You could also make small patty cakes with this mixture.
