Chocolate Cake

One of my Mother's tried and true recipes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups SR flour
  • 2 tab cocoa
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Method:

  1. Preheat your oven to a moderate heat
  2. grease and flour a larger or two small cake pans
  3. cream butter and sugar then whisk in the eggs and milk
  4. fold in the flour and vanilla
  5. pour into your prepared cake pan and bake until done when tested
  6. ice and decorate to serve.

Tips:

You could also make small patty cakes with this mixture.
